Médecins du Monde grants particular attention to the well-being of the persons who work on its projects. MdM is aware that both support and operational staff working on the field are at risk and may need to be referred to a supportive therapist.
Today, in order to better answer the issues met by our staff, MdM wants to establish a pool of experienced therapists, ready to be called in case of needs. The therapists have to be based in Lebanon and ready to travel within the country.
The therapists will be called and should be available to:
- Receive employees for short follow-up care / problem resolution / stress management tools/ relaxation
- Receive employees for short debriefing missions during emergencies or crisis
- Provide crisis intervention consultation to all members of the team if needed
- Perform risk assessments and make referrals when needed
- Provide appropriate mental health support and/or treatment through individual or group counselling or therapy
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Masters’ degree in psychology.
- Experienced in debriefing and supervision (individual and group)
- Private practice (daily consultations and availability for emergencies)
- Knowledge of the humanitarian sector and how a humanitarian mission works
- Knowledge of the associative sector
- Based in Beirut or Bekaa. Available to travel within Lebanon
- Bilingualism is an asset (English / French / Arabic)
