Position: Public Health Project Coordinator

Required deliverables: Delivery of components related staff care project

Project: Improving Mental Health and Well Being of people living in Lebanon

Expected timeframe of the employment: 6 months

Type of employment: Consultancy (full time – 40 hours per week)

Salary: 2,500 USD per month

Job location: Beirut (remote support and if needed face to face)

About the project and the position

A consortium of six organizations, including Médecins du Monde (MdM), Skoun, Abaad, Amel, Embrace and Humanity and Inclusion (HI), along with National Mental Health Program (NMHP), supported by the Agence Francaise de Development (AFD), aims to improve the opportunities for individuals living in Lebanon to enjoy the best possible mental health and wellbeing. The consortium is looking to recruit a project coordinator to coordinate on the development and implementation of a national plan for staff care in the health sector part of the mental health in the workplace plan initiative as per the below tasks and duties, while supporting in other projects as well

Tasks and duties

• Coordinate project activities, apply strategic planning and systematic coordination of project activities through the action plan prepared with the relevant focal persons,
• Coordinate day-to-day project implementation and ensure the quality of outcomes as per the action plan set,
• Ensure effective communication and coordination between different partners within the project,
• Maintaining and monitoring of project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures,
• Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings,
• Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings including the minutes after meetings,
• Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable, and
• Attend project coordination meetings as needed.

Education, experience and relevant skills

• Master’s Degree in public health or another health major,
• Project management experience is a must,
• Fluent in Arabic and English,
• Similar work experience of project coordination for at least 3-5 years,
• Good communication skills,
• Good problem-solving skills,
• Good follow up skills,
• Ability to work under pressure,
• Solution oriented, and
• Reliability and accountability.
