Research Assistant - Consultancy

OBJECTIVES/ PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENT

The Consultant will develop a common core intervention to improve knowledge, attitude, and behavior of PHC workers, to culturally and contextually adapt the core intervention to the study sites, and to pilot test the intervention in uncontrolled studies in each site. Based on the results of the pilot study, large randomized controlled trials will be conducted at a later stage.   

Missions:

Management of the research

• Manage from a technical perspective the research process, and reporting based on the design provided by the steering group
• Ensure thorough research documentation
• Maintain project files, tracking and related documentation against project workplan, making sure it is done within the set timeline.
• Prepare agendas and minutes for meetings with partners.
• Possibly interact with other sites
• Coordinate with Primary Health Care Centers in Lebanon through the Ministry of Public Health
• Interacts effectively and collegially with all employees, fostering a supportive and cross departmental working environment

Data collection and Transcription

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research such as semi structured key informant interviews, focus groups and desk reviews
• Conduct transcriptions of all interviews and translate the documents to English when needed

Data analysis.

• Qualitative and quantitative data analysis conduction
• Reporting of the analyzed data

Criterias of selection / Minimum qualifications and professional experience:

• BS in public health, psychology or any related health field
• Fluent in Arabic, English (spoken and written). French is a plus.
• 2 to 3 years of experience
• Experience in project management, quantitative and qualitative research
• Experience with Mental health service users
• Project management skills
• Reporting skills
• Analytical skills

• Monthly report on the progress of the work
• Data reporting
• Transcripts
• Minutes of Meetings

2. Your consultant fees with the daily rate in USD for a consultancy equal to 104 days and perform in the next 12 followings months. Daily rate shall be mention without taxes as MDM will be responsible to pay them.
