The MSF movement is built around five operational directorates supported by MSF’s 21 sections, 24 associations and other offices together worldwide. MSF OCBA is one of those directorates. The operations are implemented by field teams and the mission coordination teams; together with the organizational units based in Barcelona, Athens and decentralised in Nairobi, Dakar and Amman. The field operations are guided and supported by 5 Operational Cells, the Emergency Unit and other departments supporting operations, including the General Direction Department.
JOB GENERAL OBJECTIVE AND CONTEXT:
The Tembo program aims to provide MSF field workers with a personal learning and development environment (PLDE), a learning system based on a software platform that will help MSF employees take control and manage their own learning and, therefore, their own development. Tailored to individual needs and learning competencies, this personally managed space will enable real-time access to a wide range of learning and development solutions on an important but not exclusive basis of online solutions.
The Arabic UX Officer will coordinate with the cell to select which key learning contents will be prioritized for translation based on operational learning needs
The Arabic UX Officer will coordinate the translation of learning material in Arabic and the implementation / development of the Arabic version within the learning solutions in collaboration with the Tembo Knowledge and Contents team.
The Arabic UX Officer will coordinate the translation and UX design of the Tembo Platform in Arabic in collaboration with the Tembo DLE team and/or other suppliers.
The Arabic UX Officer will coordinate and the testing of the UX development of the Tembo Platform in Arabic in collaboration with the Tembo DLE team and/or other suppliers.
The Arabic UX Officer will work in close collaboration with TEMBO TAF for the successful adoption of Tembo at mission level in MENA
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Support and Coordination
Coordinate the translation from English to Arabic OCBA MSF learning materials and courses online.
Implement the Arabic translations within the learning solutions and adjust contents for good UX and UI.
Coordinate the translation reviews of the Arabic translation of all existing learning material and new material.
Delivering high quality language projects within budget and timeframe, while focusing on vendor performance and tracking.
Providing guidance and suggestions to ensure quality standards are met.
Support the preparation of TEMBO tools, guidance documents and SOP’s on deployment and adoption in MENA.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE – REQUIRED:
Commitment to producing and using images in an ethical way
Good command (reading and writing) of working languages, both English and Arabic
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Experience carrying out UX or translation projects and/or similar tasks described above
Experience in production and edition of audiovisual contents (photo and video)
Good writing skills for scripts, captions and subtitling
Ability to generate excellent audiovisual contents in short timings
Transcoding, exporting and sending AV files in various output sizes, formats and resolutions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE – DESIRABLE
Previous experience in the international humanitarian sector an advantage
Command of French and/or Spanish
Experience in working for a diverse and geographically spread organization
Familiar with technological tools that can be used for educational purposes.
Familiar with implementing training strategies
Familiar with Learning environment development, MOOC´s and/or keeping up-to-date with latest eLearning Trends in the industry
Familiar with new audiovisual formats
Knowledge of Audiovisuals, Communications, UX
Knowledge of video editing tools (e.g. Premiere) and photo editing (Photoshop)
Knowledge of motion graphics software (e.g. After Effects)
Knowledge of SCORM content production and editing technician with Articulate Storyline, including creation of Storyline, Vyond animations and editing and export.
Knowledge of sound edition and vectorial design software (e.g. Illustrator)
Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, Design Thinking and UX is an asset
