Clinical Psychologist (Full Time - Renewable Fixed Term Contract)

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, private, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race,religion, gender or political affiliation. We offer several positions of Clinical Psychologist Main responsibilities Provide psychological support to patients according to MSF principles and protocols  in order to improve the patients’ mental health Location MSF Projects in the Middle East - including Iraq and Syria PROFILE Essential degree or diploma in Psychology 2 years’ experience minimum as a Clinical Psychologist. Desirable previous experience with MSF or other NGO’s in developing countries. Arabic and English essential Computer literacy (word, excel and internet) Lebanese nationality   RESPONSIBILITITES Carry out evaluation of psychological and mental health needs of patients, elaborate a diagnosis and establish a plan of treatment Under the supervision of the Project Medical Referent, collaborate with the medical team and other internal or external actors in order to provide the most appropriate treatment to patients Diagnose any psychological or psychiatric disorder and if necessary, refer the patient to the medical team in order to receive drug treatment Provide psychological support and psychotherapy sessions (individual, family, group) to patients Collect statistical and monitoring data about mental health activities   Please send your CV and letter in English only to msfch-middleeast-hr@geneva.msf.orgOnly selected candidates will be contacted The applications should be submitted before 08.03.17 Please don’t forget to mention your contact details on your application (phone number compulsory) ID/diploma/references to be brought if selected for a test/interview
