Community Health Worker - Aarsal

-Scope of responsibility: •    Carry out home assessments/active case findings of people in need. Carry out health education session based on weekly specific messages from the medical department and through materials developed by health education supervisor both in the clinic site (for patients waiting for consultations) and in the community. •    Carry out interface-activities between the health structure supported by MSF and the population, in accordance with the MSF health activities   -Function responsibilities include: •          Deliver information to the community about MSF services and locations of clinics to enhance MSF visibility in the community •          Deliver information to the community about specific health issues (regarding hygiene, diseases and prevention) using tools (e.g leaflet and other materials developed by the health education supervisor) and interaction with the people •          Report any relevant information from the community about the health services to MSF Staff members. •          Carry out home assessments and active case finding: Identify people with some problems/diseases (keep a count of focused disease cases) and make reference to the health facility supported by MSF (e.g Hepatitis A, Leshmaniosis, Scabies, malnutrition, convulsions, massive diarrhea…etc) •          Perform outreach activities in support of the NFIs distribution targeting the most vulnerable, if needed.   Specific activities linked to context In addition to the above responsibilities, the CHW is expected (and not limited to) to do the following activities: - door to door canvassing - visits to tented settlements and collective shelters - communications with target population leaders and key informants - communication with target population in the clinic setting - individual and group sessions   The CHW should also be aware of and provide up to date information (no direct referral) about UNHCR services (specifically secondary care) and other sectors/actors providing services to target population.

-Experience required: First aid experience an asset and proved previous experience in the NGO sector. Must be issued from the community.
-Required qualification:
 Literacy required. First aid Training. Medical background is a plus. MSFCH training will be provided.
 Arabic a must, English an asset
 Flexibility, ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural people, open-minded, good communication skills, ability to listen, diplomacy
