Scope of responsibility:
The counsellor/PTE performs comprehensive counselling and education to patients; according to context in mental health activities. An interest of a social-communitarian approach is essential.
-Function responsibilities include:
Provide psycho education for targeted population
Increase awareness and help reducing stigma towards mental health
Provide supportive counselling
Refer patients to the relevant health professional when necessary
At all time, be available to liaise with clinic’s medical personnel for the benefit of the patients
Keep statistics updated about his/her activity in contributing to data collection as required

Nursing assistant / pharmacy dispensing work/ patient registration
-Required qualification:
Ideally, diploma or registered counsellor, minimum secondary education
Fluent Arabic required, ability to communicate in English
Good communication skills, ability to listen, diplomacy
Ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural people
Open-minded
Interest in psycho-social and mental health related issues is expected
Must be prepared to undertake any additional training that MSF deems appropriate and necessary
