1.                   Summary of the post   Transport persons and goods as requested by MSF Is responsible for the security of his passengers Keep the vehicle assigned to him clean and roadworthy Carry out the daily and weekly check-ups as mentioned in the log book Correctly fill in and update the log book   2.                   Main Activities   Adjusting the vehicle speed to the road conditions and to drive with consideration for the safety of the passengers, other road users, the load and the technical state of the car Wearing his seat belt and ensuring that the passenger in the front seat belt too The correct loading and unloading of the vehicle considering the maximum loading capacity, proper distribution and securing of the load The decision whether or not to attempt to cross a difficult section of the road, to continue after a technical defect has been detected or to delay the travel Correctly filling in and signing of the discharge of responsibility form by all non MSF passengers The safe parking any time possible in an MSF compound, of the vehicle at night, during breaks and when it is not used Keep his driving licence valid and ready for inspection Immediately notify the head of the project and the local authorities of any accident Immediately notify the head of the project or the logistician of any technical failure or need for maintenance of the vehicle Refuel the car whenever necessary or when the level gets under one quarter of the tank capacity When ordered by authorised MSF staff to perform related tasks like making purchases, mail              delivery etc... The present at all times in the car of: the log book, discharge of responsibility forms, the tools and the spare parts as mentioned and signed by him in the log book, a complete first aid kit and one or more spare wheels in good condition. Keep the vehicle ready and bring it in time to the annual inspection of Road authority, as well as check insurance validity     a.        Every morning before starting the car, he should check:   Engine oil level Cooling water level Battery water level and clamps state Power steering fluid level Windshield washing liquid level Brake fluid Clutch fluid level Radiator grill condition Tires pressure and condition Possible traces of oil under the car Tools- and first aid kits are ok Fixation of the battery   b.        Every evening:   Cleans the car and wash it (if necessary) Checks the “Log Book”   c.        Every week and in case of an out of town trip, in addition to the above:   The air cleaner The state of the engine and gear box insulators The fastening of the radiator and the state of the hoses The spring leaves and shock absorbers The good fixing of exhaust pipe The state of the chassis and the body The functioning of the lighting system and turn signals Tools and materials inventories The air condition Fills the tank     d.        Not Allowed:   Driving after working hours without a request by an authorised staff member Transport a non MSF person or goods without permission by an authorised staff member Transport more people than the number of seats in the vehicle Drive without having a specific duty notified by an authorised MSF staff member     3.                   Additional tasks   On request perform any other additional duties given by the immediate supervisor in order to allow the organisation to function optimal
