- Together with the hospital director the, identifying the needs of the external health support in the target population and participating in the definition, planning and updating of the appropriate MSF strategy and the external health activities and its budget.
- To be in charge with the CHW in identifying the places for the blood drives and to be the focal point with the responsible of the blood drive at the Lebanese Red Cross.
- Organize and schedule with the CHW for the calendar for all the blood campaigns needed to support the Thalassemia program.
- Participate in the definition and update of the health promotion strategy and identifying indicators in order to monitor health promotion activities, results and achievements
- Assess, develop and adapt health promotion materials to the needs of the project and implement the health promotion strategy inside and outside the hospital.
- Participate in monthly report according to guidelines (SitRep, statistical report) and report to the medical team any information linked to the health situation of the population and the patient.
- Organize, train, and supervise the social worker and CHW in terms of planning and organizing their work, supporting, evaluating, collecting reports of the activities of each SW and CHW and visit together the communities that are under his/her responsibility
- Collaborate with the managers of the hospital and other partners to guarantee and promote safe and high-quality continuum of care at every level (hospital, PHCCs etc.), including the community
- Make a clear link between the community and MSF facilities/services, and a referral system with other actors using a comprehensive and regularly updated mapping of actors.
- Represent MSF towards other Actors and the Community during MSF external activities.
- Ensuring continuous networking and active search for partners (e.g. MoH and other organization) to guarantee the achievement of external health activities through partnership with one or several other actors
- Guarantee a functional link between MSF and other health facilities (PHCCs etc.) run by MoH, MOSA or other non-governmental organization, including other MSF sections.
