Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or man-made disasters. I- Scope of responsibilities: In a purpose of quality and continuity of care, in its project activity, he/she is responsible of planning, organisation and evaluation of activities Ensure the daily management of human resources. II- Function responsibilities: a- Towards patient: First foremost, paramedical responsible of activity is able to ensure the function of his/ her profession and to help when there is a need for it in the activity Plan the need in activities, coordinate and ensure a good course of those activities in accordance MSF medical policies, evaluate these activities Ensure or coordinate all administrative tasks related to patients (exit-paper, transfer-paper …etc) b- Human resources management: Daily management of his/her team: week’s schedule, annual leave, absences…etc and problem solving and conflict resolution among the team Supervision of all team member in the project Define needs for training and ensure staff training, under the supervision of the hierarchical referent Participate in the evaluation of the staff. c- Pharmacy and medical equipment management: Supervise and/or carry out efficiently the pharmacy and medical equipment management: drugs orders, follow-up of the stock, storage conditions, inventories, follow-up of expired drugs and their destruction, drugs consumption related to his part of the project. d- Monitoring, analysis and reporting: Participate in the development of the plan of action Actively monitor and report medical activities (correctly fill in patient files, forms, statistics, reports) and analyse these statistics. Ensure a relevant transfer of information to the next duty team. Report immediately to the technical referent any problem arising in the service, especially the loss/ robbery/damage of medical equipment or medicines. III- Specific activities linked to context: The package of medical services includes also mental health . Therefore a prior experience or at least familiarity with mental health intervention is highly recommendable. As all staff, the head of medical activity is expected to maintain good relationships with other specialist centres, referral centres, local organisations and the community in order to contribute to the effectiveness of the health centre as a health service provider
