Head Of Pharmacy

Scope of responsibilities: § Ensure the general functioning of the MSF central pharmacy in the country; and the supply to MSF projects pharmacies and/or health facilities supported by MSF in the country § Ensure supervision of a team (project stock managers) and support medical team responsible in pharmacy management in the field Public relation activity with institutional partners and support importation procedures. Function responsibilities: “Public Relation”: Support/contact person for national drug authorities (update legislation, import procedures,,,) Ensure safety and tracking of local purchase procedures according to section pharmacist recommendation and validated sources Participate the the medical budget definition of the mission. Orders: Support and participate to drugs and material orders for the mission (international and local purchase) in providing accurate data (entry-exit), inventories and consumption follow-up database Based on these data, make relevant assumptions on drugs and material consumption of the different health structures supported by MSF in the country. Storage conditions: Ensure storage, classification and organization of drugs and material according to MSF protocols Apply hygiene and security procedures: clean storage room, control pest and rodents Make sure that temperature, humidity, light exposition are in accordance with products in the pharmacy especially ensure cold chain functioning and maintenance and ensure storage conditions according to national regulations in collaboration with logistic department (psychotropic, narcotic …) Supervise storage conditions in the different fields in the country. Stock management: Follow-up efficiently MSF stock management procedures for the central stock and supervise the accuracy of the different fields stock management in the country. Fret reception: In collaboration with logistic department, ensure the good course of the reception of the international fret and its storage Check the adequation between orders and international fret and quantify the damaged drugs and material Supply to other field pharmacies: Ensure an efficient supply of other projects pharmacies with continuity, in keeping track, and in accordance with supply procedures and national regulations. Make up shipmets for projects Participate to the supervision of peripheral MSF storage facilities Monitor, analyse their orders and pass information to the hierarchic referent. Team management: Supervise, motivate and train a team of stock managers of peripheral projects, especially on management tools (in collaboration with the MedCo) and a team of stock manager assistants. Reporting - Information: Participate in the development of the plan of action Part of the coordination team, participate to the coordination team meeting and should report all information linked to the function activties (on request)
