Health Promoter-2 Positions

MAIN PURPOSE: Under the supervision you will be in charge for health promotion educational and awareness activities and for promoting MSF services, following MSF guidelines and procedures in order to improve the health condition of the patients, their families and communities they live in. You will be coordinating and implementing health promotion activities (such as basic hygiene, chronic diseases prevention, mental health education …) inside Primary Health Centre (PHC) or Women Centre (WC), based on needs and MSF health promotion strategy.   MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively promote the availability of MSF services. Conduct daily individual or group health promotion sessions to patients, their families and medical team. Work in close collaboration with MSF PHC and WC clinic team in order to ensure that appropriate terminology and behaviour are communicated to target group. Participate in the creation and dissemination of any educational material needed for the health promotion activities. Collect and report information gathered with HP activities on daily/weekly basis. Keep records and statistic updated, reporting any health promotion activities, in order to prioritize and develop appropriate activities. Collect all type of information related to specific health and living conditions of the population, in particular to identify the most vulnerable populations to target. On request perform any other additional duties given by the Health promotion supervisor in order to allow the activities to be carried out optimally and to support medical team of PHC or WC.     REQUIREMENTS: Work experience Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a similar job (health promotion, medical, education, social work, community work). Previous working experience with MSF or other NGO’s are highly desirable.   Education University degree (social science, medical, education, social work) or minimum secondary school with 3 years proven working experience in related field (health promotion, medical, education, social and community work).   Languages Fluent in Arabic (written and spoken) Very good working knowledge of English (written and spoken)   Personal qualities Excellent communicator Punctual, organised and reliable Flexible and able to work in multicultural and sometimes stressful environment Very good management skills
