Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or man-made disasters. I- Scope of responsibilities: Ensure comfort care to patients in accordance with doctors’ prescriptions, MSF protocols, respect of universal hygiene standards and context. Always work under the supervision of a nurse II- Function responsibilities: A- Hygiene standards: Know, apply and help the nurse to make sure universal hygiene standards and security rules are respected for medical premises, routing of patients, routing of linen. Ensure asepsis rules during all cares. Ensure quality of the sterilization process. B- Lack of autonomy compensation: Compensate (or make sure that someone can compensate in the right way) patient lack of autonomy regarding his feeding, his personal hygiene, his movements and his comfort. C- Treatment and care: Help the nurse that organise and carry out care and treatments, according to doctors’ prescriptions and MSF guidelines D- Patient surveillance: Participate to the surveillance of the patient (vigilance regarding his alimentation, his hydratation, his health state evolution, identification of emergency situation) and information of the nurse. In case of emergency help the nurse as she requested. E- Patient therapeutic education (PTE): Participate to the PTE, keeping a patient based approach during all contacts with patients F- Participation to the project monitoring:   Participate to the monitoring of medical activities (correctly fill in patient files) Ensure a relevant transfer of information to the next duty team Report immediately to the technical referent any problem arising in the service, especially the loss/ robbery/damage of medical equipment or medicines
