ASSISTANT PROJECT SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER - Flying

Context Specific Accountabilities

 

  • Schedules and organizes all NFI/relief item distribution related activities, its organization design and sizing as well as its associated budget in order to efficiently maintain the continuity of the NFI/relief item distributions and ensure proper accountability within MSF and within the communities.
  • Supervise, in close coordination with the HR department, the associated processes (recruitment, training, evaluation, development and communication) of the NFI/relief item distribution staff if required.
  • Supervise the implementation of the NFI/relief item distribution program according to MSF protocols, standards. This includes:
  • Assist with assessments of situation of population in need. • Draw up NFI distribution activity planning.
  • Ensure multiple stakeholders in the community are aware and involved with the distribution (accountability).
  • Ensure multiple stakeholders in MSF are involved and sign of on the proces (accountability).
  • Obtain permission of Medco and HoM to execute the NFI distribution • Coordinate with logistics the actual purchase, stocking, transport and distribution of the NFI/relief items.
  • Check that NFI/relief item distribution are carried out and that they arrived with the people we intended to support.
  • Inform relevant stakeholders of executed NFI/relief item distribution. • Ensure correct NFI/relief item distribution data collection. What has requested, what has been approved, what has been delivered, what has been checked for accountability. Willingness to travel to areas with IDP populations in Lebanon and to visit official and unofficial shelters.

 

 

Requirements

 

 

Education

Essential diploma and specialization in Logistics/Supply Chain Management. (degree desirable)

Essential in supply chain management (minimum 1 year) or in organization of supply administration and procedures

Experience

Desirable proven understanding of MSF Field Logistics (general knowledge of MSF equipment and kits in accordance to the nature of the site)

Work experience with other NGOs and in developing countries desirable

Languages                      

Arabic and English essential
