Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is an INGO that works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP delivers health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement. Developmental Action without Borders, Naba'a is an apolitical, non-profit Lebanese organization which works with Palestinian and Lebanese communities. Naba’a’s mission is to empower local communities so that they can uphold the rights of children and young people; enabling them to play an active and healthy role within their society. MAP and NABAA has been working in partnership since 2008 to address the unmet reproductive, psychosocial, and protection needs of marginalized women, youth, and children. MAP and NABA’A, are posting a job vacancy for the position of a psychologist in Saida and Tyre Area. Job Title: Psychologist Location: Nabaa centers in Saida (Ein el Helweh camp) and Tyre (Burj el Shemali and Rashidyeh camps) Job Description: The responsibility of the psychologist is to support children and families in need of individualized MHPSS interventions, within the framework of Naba’a’s community-based psychosocial support program. Direct Manager: Project Coordinator  Responsibilities:  Assess psychosocial and mental health needs of the children and caregivers referred or self-referred to Naba’a MHPSS services, and determine if further intervention is needed Coordinate the development of an intervention plan to assist children and families in overcoming emotional, relational and developmental difficulties Provide technical guidance and support to Naba’a’s junior psychologists, social workers and case workers Provide therapeutic support to children and/or caregivers through individualized or group therapy sessions  Identify the need for psychiatric intervention and refer to psychiatric services when and as necessary Identify protection needs and contribute to the development of relevant interventions Abide to standards of best clinical practice, confidentiality and informed consent  Document interventions in compliance with Naba’a’s guidelines and procedures Participate in regular training and supervision activities as directed by Project Coordinator Report monthly to Project Coordinator

• Master Degree in Clinical Psychology.
• Finalized or in the process of finalizing training on psychotherapy
• Fluent in written and spoken Arabic – English or French are a plus.
• A minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in the context of community-based interventions.
• Excellent communication skills
