Translator (Arabic to English)

Key Responsibilities

• Translate daily news and opinion articles 
• Translate and subtitle video content
• Review and edit translated material for clarity, accuracy, and tone
• Contribute to fact-checking 
• Contribute to updating and refining our internal glossary of terms
• Proofread English-language outputs on a regular basis

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in English, with excellent writing skills
• Full professional proficiency in Arabic
• Proven experience in translation, particularly in journalism or media
• Strong understanding of political and social issues in Lebanon and the MENA region
• Understanding of various Arabic dialects
• Familiarity with subtitling tools is a plus
