Fundraising Assistant

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in developing the partnerships & fundraising strategy
  • Supporting the development, a business development strategy and action plan
  • Exploring potential partnerships with regional and international entities
  • Supporting and developing relationships with current and potential funders, partners, sponsors, board members, and other stakeholders.
  • Searching for funding/grant opportunities and writing/submitting proposals
  • Performing other duties as required

Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in fundraising (preferably in the non-profit sector in the MENA region)
  • A relevant BA in business, social sciences or any other related field
  • Knowledge of the civil society sector in the Arab region
  • Experience in fundraising and business development
  • Ability to build strategic partnerships
  • High teamwork spirit and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work proactively, under pressure, independently, and meet deadlines
  • High level of motivation, integrity, and work ethics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic
  • Accomplishes tasks accurately, thoroughly, and with a keen eye for details
  • Ability to work both under direction and autonomously with a “can-do” attitude.
