Mentor Arabia is a regional non-governmental Foundation founded in 2006 with its headquarters established in Beirut, Lebanon. Mentor Arabia is the regional branch of Mentor International, founded in 1994 in Switzerland and presided by Her Majesty Queen Sylvia of Sweden. The Foundation is led by its own Board of Trustees, chaired by HRH Prince Turki Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. Mentor Arabia Invites qualified candidates to apply for the Fundraising Officer vacancy to support its objectives & goals.   Duties and Responsibilities Scope of Work The Fundraising Officer is responsible for all Fundraising activities of the foundation. The Fundraising Officer Main tasks are: To review the fundraising strategy and develop an action plan accordingly, in addition to any relevant tasks requested by the supervisor To raise funds and mobilize resources for the foundation by organizing and implementing fundraising activities/events or else (grants, donors, sponsors, etc…).   Expected Outputs and Deliverables Review the foundation fundraising strategy and develop a work plan accordingly. Implement the fundraising work plan Develop Grants acquisition strategy and seek grants accordingly Develop resource mobilization plan and seek grants accordingly Work closely with Communications and Media department to ensure alignment with the Communications Strategy and visibility of the foundation’s projects and activities Raise funds for the foundation according to the annual targets Develop and maintain a list/database of potential donors to target for fundraising events/actions Develop and maintain a monitoring and mapping system for funding/grant opportunities and calls for proposals Write grant proposals (including log frames & budgets) in cooperation with the Program & Finance Departments Propose and organize fundraising initiatives and events Maintain a calendar of Fundraising events and implement a system that enables effective event management and long-term planning Design, coordinate and oversee the management of fundraising events (with partners such as PR agencies and event companies) Develop contingency plans for fundraising events identifying risks and steps for mitigation Report on all fundraising activities and else Contribute to networking & partnership building where necessary Represent Mentor Arabia at donors’ meetings Delegate and coordinate tasks with other departments Network and build partnerships with potential donors and CDR units Prepare a budget for the fundraising department Manage fundraising events according to the set budget and timeline Negotiate favourable rates and agreements for all services related to Fundraising events and outside vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive cost without jeopardizing the service quality  Qualifications University degree in business, marketing, PR or related field. 5+ years of experience in fundraising & PR events planning Proven track record in fundraising and public relations field Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English Excellent knowledge of spoken and written Arabic Strong grants & proposal writing skills Proven negotiation skills with various vendors Good knowledge of the market ad potential donors Ability to develop professional relationships with partners Ability to work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment according to deadlines Ability to develop effective and engaging Fundraising events that will achieve the foundation goals Ability to influence and coordinate the efforts of other team members in support of the events Strong computer & Microsoft Office skills Ability to travel if required   Competencies Resource mobilization Planning and coordination Strategic and analytical thinking Communication and negotiation Time Management & punctuality Commitment and responsibility Integrity and transparency Teamwork Leadership Problem solving Ability to work under pressure   We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, irrespective of race, gender or age.
