Mercy Corps is looking for a Service Provider to deliver training on Management of Sorting Facilities in 3 areas: Union of Municipalities of Chouf Souaijani, Union of Municipalities of Iqlim El Kharroub and Union of Municipalities of Minnieh. The training will be delivered to the sorting facility managers, the highest ranking employee in the facility/supervisors, as well as a representative from the Union of Municipalities/Municipality. The training will be given to each group within their own area.
The Service Provider will work under the direct supervision of INTAJ Program Manager and in close coordination with INTAJ Project Manager and Field Coordinators.
Training topics to be addressed as applied in the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) include but are not limited to:
- What is a waste sorting plant?
- Value drivers / cost drivers for material recovery
- Sorting plant in the wider waste management system/chain
- Planning for a sorting plant
- Facilities and design
- Operation and maintenance
