RFP BEY 108777 - Freelance Academy GIG Economy Event

Mercy Corps and the Freelance Academy team are looking for a service provider to plan, organize and implement a “Gig Economy” event (please refer to Annex 1) to host 270 people: 200 FA alumni and 70 distributed among partners, employers (tech companies and HR departments), job platforms, entrepreneurs and wider digital community, etc…

The main objectives of this event will be to create visibility and exposure of Mercy Corps, FA, and our Alumni, to increase networking between the FTD graduates, and to celebrate the achievements and commitment of FA alumni.

The expected results are:

• Enhance the Freelance Academy’s positioning and visibility. The event will further invest in the visibility of the Academy and its alumni and build its brand to become a key player in the digital freelancing ecosystem.

• Increased market linkages and job opportunities. Through networking and FA talent exposure for existing employers (tech companies, HR representatives etc…), and FA participants, FA alumni will establish new market linkages and create connections and networks with the wider digital community.

• FA participants will be able to build/work within a team: Enhance teamwork and networking opportunities among FA participants, making it easier for them to submit joint proposals for bigger gig projects that require several skills set to be completed.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned objectives and results, the service provider will be responsible to work closely with the FA team, to prepare, organize and implement the event in addition to advertise it among different stakeholders.
