PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The Operations team is committed to implemented and maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and integrity in the purchase of goods and services, handling logistics and implementing administration procedures for Mercy Corps in Lebanon. The overriding objective for all Mercy Corps operations activity is the prompt and effective provision of materials and services in compliance with donor specifications. GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative Officer position will support the Partnership Support Program with logistical arrangements to include arranging conference and workshop venues, liaising with the logistics department for various requests; dealing with administrative procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Organizing all logistics for trainings, workshops and facilitations. This is to include arrangement of venue and all catering arrangements. Travel arrangements and bookings for all domestic and foreign travel for members of the team Preparation of all Administrative Documents for the program both internal and external, to include update of the constant companion, contact list, business cards, ID cards. Coordination of all logistical arrangements for the team and outside partners. Including arrangement of transportation (i.e. taxis, Mercy Corps drivers, etc.) Sole focal point for coordinating all operational needs with the MC Lebanon team. Liaising with MC partners as needed; Preparation of all purchase requests for the team. Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a similar position with an INGO.
