Community Engagement Activities Internship-(Gss)

Background: Holder of a BA in social studies or equivalent Purpose / Project Description: Under the scope of the Governance and Social Stability Sector, this position has the opportunity of teaching technical support to interested students on different aspects of community engagement, governance, project management, and sustainable development. Scope of training:  Learn about preparing the projects profiles;  Learn about governance;  Learn about project management;  Learn about CBOs/NGOs present in the targeted communities;  Learn to work and meet with local communities through field visits with the team members;  Learn to identify community engagement activities topics from the participatory needs assessment process;  Learn to prepare and implement identified community engagement activities;  Learn about Mercy Corps’ work in Lebanon; Timeframe / Schedule: 3 months part time: between September 2017 and April 2017 with flexible attendance. The Trainee will have the exposure to meet with the different departments during the training period
