Database Officer (Do)

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: The Database Officer (DO) will provide overall assistance with the management and evaluation of a substantial number of assessments for the Capacity Building for Municipal Responses for Syrian Refugees project.  The DO will be responsible for accurately converting qualitative data into quantitative data and inputting a substantial amount of information into a master spreadsheet and assessing the information based on established criteria.  ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Data Entry, Management & Evaluation: Review a substantial number of assessment tools and develop a master spreadsheet containing all of the data collected from numerous assessment tools by converting qualitative data into quantitative data in order to better review and assess the gathered findings. Work closely under the Program Manager to ensure data is accurately documented, organized and assessed. Work with project field officers to follow up on any gaps in information that may be needed; Help with the evaluation and analysis of the data and in determining the findings. Knowledge and Experience also include: Extensive experience in data entry, management and analysis Strong background in Excel Must have access to a laptop Understanding of the Syrian refugee context inLebanon Understanding ofLebanon’s government structure and the role of municipalities preferred Prior experience working with NGOs preferred
