Mercy Corps responsibilities
For the duration of this internship assignment the intern will receive:
- Workstation with computer, internal database, and office resources
- All other tools, materials, and communication requirements for this project to be undertaken
PROJECT & INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:
The Human Resources Department at Mercy Corps Lebanon has the opportunity of providing training for those who are interested in having an overview on the different HR functions at MC Lebanon such as Personnel & Administration, Recruitment, HR Database Tracking and reporting, HR Reports, as per the set policies and procedures of MC Lebanon.
Under the supervision of the HR Manager or the Senior HR Officer, the intern will be requested to assist and provide support to MC Lebanon HR Department.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Through the internship, the intern will have:
- Exposure to introduction to MC international standards
- Experience in using and updating the HR database
- Exposure to MC Recruitment Policy and procedure
- The ability to prepare, organize and track personnel and job files
- The ability to prepare contracts, offers and other related HR documents
IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- Newly graduate in Business Management or Human Resources
- Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience
- Languages: Proficient in English & Arabic
- Skills and competencies:
- Ability to learn new tasks rapidly and generate relevant information quickly and easily
- Strong administrative, organizational and time management skills
- People oriented
- Flexibility and strong adaptation skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
