Main Responsibilities
Monitor the project activities on a regular basis as well as provide daily project execution oversight and support.
Provide a daily report on the execution and any issues faced based on pre-set monitoring tools that ensure detailed relevant monitoring.
Support in the initial set-up, data collection, registration process as well as provide guidance to project staff on required outcomes.
Provide daily tasks to the project staff to ensure timely implementation, follow-up, monitoring and reporting application of the Mercy-USA financial policy as well per project contract.
Support in the approval of any teaching materials, advertising materials, guidance materials.
Represent Mercy-USA at relevant field meetings and in any coordination activities.
Ensure Mercy-USA core values as well as humanitarian code are reflected in everyday activities.
Support Program and Communication Manager in all relevant field visits and oversight activities.
Hiring and maintaining field staff with the direct supervision and approval of Mercy-USA management.
Develop monthly, quarterly and yearly detailed program activity implementation plans on interventions implemented by Mercy-USA.
Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of the interventions of the projects in place.
Follow-up and ensure timely implementation of all the planned action - interventions in accordance with the annual work plan.
Produce periodic project progress reports as requested by the Program and Communication Manager.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the staff. This includes developing clear guidelines, monitoring tools, and activity plans.
Support training for staff, stakeholders and implementing partner staff.
Ensure procedures are properly followed in selection of beneficiaries and that right beneficiaries are targeted for the programs.
Ensure that governance structures, local leadership and community are involved in the program design and implementation and understand the program objectives.
Support all field based procurements for the program in a timely manner.
Support in the preparation, design and implementation of all data collection activities including assessments, pre- and post-implementation monitoring and other similar activities to use as lessons learned and to support in the design of new programs.
Prepares plan and schedule for project implementation.
Coordination of data collection assessment tasks in each location.
Timely collection and compilation of reports from all other focal points.
Oversee coordination between the logistics officer in the country office and logistics coordinator in the field office.
Regular visits to each distribution location to monitor project progress.
Document activities with photos, videos, narrative reports
Doing any additional task might be asked by senior management
Minimum Hiring Requirements
University degree
At least 4 years’ experience
Good command of the English language
At least 2 years experience in a similar position
Understand the basic of project management and concepts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Personal and organizational skills, including time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
