Cybersecurity Trainer

 

As part of the Tech Pour Tous initiative, MDSF is implementing a specialized Cybersecurity training program. This training is targeted at young women between the ages of 15 and 35 who have limited exposure to technology. Before starting the  Cybersecurity track, all participants will complete a foundational digital literacy course. 

The training aims to provide participants with practical Cybersecurity skills and prepare them for real-world projects and  freelancing opportunities. Upon completion of the 5-month training, learners will transition into a 2-month internship program  where they will apply their newly acquired skills in a professional setting. This structured internship component ensures that  the training is practice-driven and employment-oriented. 

Objective 

To deliver 120 hours of beginner-to-intermediate level Cybersecurity training over five months, enabling learners to build the  skills needed to start careers in information security, IT support, or further specialization. 

Scope of Work 

The Trainer will: 

● Design and deliver 120 hours of Cybersecurity training over 5 months (2 sessions per week × 3 hours) ● Develop a progressive curriculum covering: 

○ Introduction to cybersecurity and the threat landscape 

○ Networking basics and secure protocols 

○ Operating system and endpoint security (Windows/Linux basics) 

○ Common vulnerabilities and risk assessment techniques 

○ Ethical hacking and penetration testing fundamentals 

○ Security tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, and antivirus software 

○ Cryptography and secure communication principles 

○ Compliance, digital hygiene, and personal data protection 

● Implement hands-on lab activities and group-based simulations 

● Guide students through a final group project or practical case study 

● Conduct pre- and post-assessments and provide structured feedback 

● Foster soft skills such as risk reporting, problem-solving, and secure team collaboration to support their upcoming  internship 

Target Group: Women aged 15–35 with low tech backgrounds who will complete Digital Literacy training prior to starting this  course.

Deliverables  

The selected trainer is expected to deliver the following:  

● A complete course curriculum and training plan 

● Detailed weekly lesson plans and supporting materials 

● 120 hours of structured technical instruction 

● Pre-training and post-training evaluations to assess participant knowledge 

● Regular progress tracking and learner engagement reports 

● Individual and group-based cybersecurity project outcomes 

● Weekly attendance records and end-of-training summary report 

● Internship readiness report with learner recommendations 

Duration of Assignment 

The assignment will be completed within 5 months from the start date. 

● Start Date: 01 July 2025 

● End Date: 30 November 2025 

Trainer Qualifications 

The selected trainer should meet the following criteria: 

1. A bachelor’s degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 2. Minimum of 3 years of experience working in cybersecurity or IT security domains 

3. Demonstrated experience in training or mentoring beginners in cybersecurity concepts 

4. Familiarity with OWASP, CIS Controls, and basic security audit frameworks 

5. Proficiency in practical security tools, simulations, and virtual lab environments 

6. Strong facilitation, communication, and coaching skills tailored to non-technical learners 

7. Ability to design content that prepares learners for both further study and workplace scenarios Location 

The training sessions will be delivered at Michel Daher Social Foundation, Ferzol, Bekaa, Lebanon.

Step 1: Prepare your Bid Documents

Technical Proposal: 

Course outline, content, tools used, and learning outcomes.  

Financial Proposal: 

Provide a breakdown of your total offer in USD, including session rates, expenses, and taxes. Outline the payment structure  based on milestones tied to deliverables. (fill attached Annex 1) 

Legal Documents: 

MOF certificate, ID, registration 

Step 2: Submit Your Bid

● Email your complete bid to procurement@daherfoundation.org 

● Subject Line: TOR - Cybersecurity Training - Tech Pour Tous 

● Deadline: 12 June 2025 

Required Documents: 

● Financial proposal (Annex 1) 

● Technical proposal  

● Legal Documents (MOF, ID, Registration Certificate) 

Step 3: Offer Validity 

Your offer must remain valid for 60 days from the submission deadline. You may be contacted for clarifications or further  discussions during this time. 

Step 4: Payment Terms 

● Payment will be made via bank transfer or Telegraphic Transfer (TT) within 15 working days after service completion. ● Payment will be processed after deliverables are met. 

● Note: Without a valid MOF certificate, tax deductions of 3.4% on goods and 8.5% on services will apply, according to  the articles number 41 and 42 of the income tax law.  

Step 5: Evaluation 

Proposals will be evaluated based on: 

● Technical (60%): curriculum, delivery approach, and qualifications.  

● Financial (40%): Cost-effectiveness and competitiveness
