MDF/ REAF Program - Pitching Trainer

Michel Daher Foundation is a local NGO that aims to create an enabling environment where everyone can achieve their highest potential. MDF is a community partner in the REAF program, the Program’s objective is to strengthen the business and product viability of start-ups in Agri-food, ecotourism, and circular economy sectors. The Program also focuses on the societal impact by providing business incubation and training to vulnerable youth. 

The ideation phase of the Program consists of three days of boot camps to prepare the participants for the pitching event. They will have the opportunity to nurture and grow disruptive ideas, proof of concepts, and prototypes.

Scope of Work:

Michel Daher Foundation seeks a Trainer to deliver the following:

• Conduct a networking activity to accelerate the introductions between participants.
• Facilitate a team formation activity to group individuals in teams of 3+ members based on their ideas, interests, and complementary skills.
• Deliver an ideation workshop to guide the participants through the process of problem identification, solution definition and target audience specification.
• Train participants on how to build and finetune their business model.
• Advise the Startups on the structure and design of their pitch deck to convey the information investors require.
• Train the Entrepreneurs on a 60-second pitch (Elevator Pitch) without visual aids.
• Train the Entrepreneurs on a 3-minute pitch with visual aids (PowerPoint Pitch Deck)
• Train the Entrepreneurs on leveraging their Body Language to increase their credibility when pitching to prospective clients or investors.
• Train the Entrepreneurs on dealing with the stressful environment of pitching investors for equity/debt capital injections.

 Qualifications:

• Expertise and experience in entrepreneurship / soft skills training. A Minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
• Demonstratable knowledge of the various fields related to pitching, including but not limited to:  Body Language, Public Speaking, Negotiation Skills, Slide Design…
• An experienced trainer who is comfortable with ambiguity and able to adjust the approach to the specific need of the participants.
• Effective communicator with any audience in an organized, professional manner.
• Creative problem-solver with thorough attention to detail.
• Desire to deeply understand and empathize with our participants.
• Prior work experience in the country and Beqaa region.
• Strong analytical and training skills.
• Ability to present complex information in a concise and convincing manner and to use innovative forms of communication.
• Excellent oral and written Arabic and English language.
