Supply and Installation of Sound System

Introduction

Michel Daher Social Foundation (MDSF) is a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable communities in Lebanon. MDSF operates under four strategic pillars: healthcare, social development, economic and human development, and community development and sustainable livelihoods. Through its initiatives, MDSF promotes resilience, inclusion, and stability by addressing the needs of individuals, families, and local enterprises.

 Background

The SALAM Project, funded by GIZ and implemented by MDSF, supports economic resilience and social cohesion in Southern Baalbek, West Bekaa, and Central Bekaa. As part of this initiative is the expansion of the Takallam Social Center located at Michel Daher Foundation in Ferzol. Takallam provides a safe and inclusive space for children with learning, speech, and expressive challenges. The center offers therapy, counseling, and psychosocial support for both children and their caregivers.

A key component of the project is the transformation of the center into a vibrant community hub, offering activities such as drama and music therapy, capacity-building sessions, and community gatherings.

Purpose

The purpose of this RFQ is to invite qualified suppliers to submit quotations for the supply and installation of a sound system in the multi-purpose room at the Takallam Center. The sound system will enhance community events, including theater performances, meetings, training sessions, and workshops, and ensure high-quality audio for all gatherings held in the space.

 Scope of Work

• The selected supplier will be responsible for the following:
• Supply of wall-mounted, built-in sound system equipment as specified in Annex 1.
• Delivery to MDSF – Takallam Center, Ferzol, Bekaa.
• Installation and Setup of the system, ensuring full coverage of the multi-purpose room as per the floor plan (Annex 3).
• Testing to confirm functionality and audio performance.
• Post-Delivery Support, including warranty services and responsive maintenance.
• Training or User Guidance, if necessary, to ensure effective use of the system.

Commodities, Specifications & Quantities

• Sound System (Wall Built-in)Specifications: High-quality, durable, and safe for use in a child-friendly environment; suitable for music therapy, events, and training.
• Quantities: As detailed in Annex 1.

Accessories and Additional Items

• All necessary cables, mounts, adapters, or accessories to complete the setup.
• Refer to Annex 3 (floor plan) for room layout and technical context.

Service Requirements

• Complete installation and setup of the system.
• Testing and verification of audio quality and system coverage.
• Basic training/guidance for designated staff on operating the system.
• Ongoing support, including warranty services and contact for claims.

Submission Validity 

All submitted proposals must remain valid for a minimum of 60 days from the submission deadline.
