Supply of Foldable Tables

Introduction:

Michel Daher Social Foundation (MDSF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable communities in Lebanon. Operating across healthcare, social development, economic and human development, and community development, MDSF promotes resilience, sustainability, and social stability.

Background

The SALAM Project, funded by GIZ and implemented by MDSF, supports economic resilience and social cohesion in Southern Baalbek, West Bekaa, and Central Bekaa. As part of this initiative is the expansion of the Takallam Social Center located at Michel Daher Foundation in Ferzol. Takallam provides a safe and inclusive space for children with learning, speech, and expressive challenges. The center offers therapy, counseling, and psychosocial support for both children and their caregivers.

A key component of the project is the transformation of the center into a vibrant community hub, offering activities such as drama and music therapy, capacity-building sessions, and community gatherings.

Purpose:

The purpose of this RFQ is to invite qualified suppliers to submit quotations for the supply of foldable tables for the SALAM Project. The project is located at Michel Daher Social Foundation, Ferzol, Bekaa, Lebanon. The scope of work includes providing foldable tables suitable for a Training of Trainers (TOT) program on music and drama therapy for youth and therapy sessions for children.

Scope of Work

The selected supplier will be responsible for the following:

Supply of Foldable Tables:

  • Provide six foldable tables in the following sizes:
  • 1.80 x 0.7m, 1.80 x 0.8m, or 1.80 x 0.9m.
  • Ensure the tables meet required durability and quality standards.
  • Provide all necessary accessories for proper use.

Delivery and Logistics:

  • Ensure timely delivery of the tables to the project location (MDSF, Ferzol, Bekaa).
  • Guarantee that the tables arrive in good condition, free from damage during transport.

Assembly/Setup (if applicable):

  • Assist with assembly or setup of the tables, if necessary.
  • Ensure that all tables are fully functional upon delivery.

Warranty/Support:

  • Provide a warranty for defects or maintenance issues for a specified period.
  • Provide post-delivery support for any issues related to the tables.

Quality Assurance:

  • Provide relevant documentation verifying compliance with MDSF’s specifications.

Commodities, specifications, and Quantities

  • Quantity: 6 foldable tables
  • Dimensions:
  • 1.80 x 0.7m, 1.80 x 0.8m, or 1.80 x 0.9m
  • Material and Design: Tables should be made of durable, high-quality material, suitable for professional use, and should fold for easy storage.
  • Accessories: Any necessary accessories for proper use.

Service Requirements

In addition to the supply of the tables, the supplier may be required to:

  • Assist in the assembly or setup of tables if needed.
  • Provide guidance for the MDSF team on proper usage, handling, and maintenance of the tables (if required).
  • Provide any other necessary post-delivery support.

Submission Validity

Proposals should remain valid for 60 days from the submission deadline.

Submission Requirements

Technical Proposal:

  • List of foldable tables with brand, model, specifications, and warranty details.
  • Evidence of compliance with local and international quality standards.

Financial Proposal:

  • Breakdown of costs in USD, including unit price, transportation, taxes, and any other charges.
  • Payment structure based on milestones (e.g., advance, delivery, completion).

Company Information:

  • Company qualifications and relevant experience.
  • References from previous clients.

Delivery Terms

  • Delivery Location: Michel Daher Social Foundation, Ferzol, Bekaa, Lebanon.
  • Timeline: The supplier must deliver the tables by May 10, 2025.
  • Packaging/Labeling: Ensure that the tables are securely packaged to avoid damage during transport.

Payment Terms

  • Payment will be made via bank transfer or Telegraphic Transfer (TT) within 15 working days after the service is completed and deliverables are met.
  • The payment structure is based on milestones as outlined in the financial proposal.
  • Tax Note: If no valid Ministry of Finance (MOF) certificate is provided, a 3.4% tax on goods and 8.5% tax on services will apply, per Lebanese tax law.

Submission Instructions

  • Submit your quotation via email to procurement@daherfoundation.org by April 29, 2025.
  • The subject line should read: “RFQ for Foldable Tables – N° MDSF25-RFQ002”.
  • Incomplete or incorrectly labeled submissions will not be considered.

Evaluation Criteria

Technical Proposal (Brand, model, specs, warranty) 30%

Financial Proposal (Cost-effectiveness and Competitiveness, and Compliance) 70%

Confidentiality Statement

All information submitted in response to this RFQ is confidential and must not be shared with third parties without prior written consent from MDSF.

Compliance with Local Laws
Suppliers must comply with all relevant local laws and regulations, including labor, environmental, and safety standards.

Warranty/Guarantee
If applicable, suppliers must provide warranty or guarantee details regarding the products/services offered, including terms and coverage periods.

Clarifications and Queries

For any clarifications regarding this RFQ, please contact the procurement team at procurement@daherfoundation.org  before April 25, 2025. No questions will be answered after this date.
