Trainer – Assistant nurse

1. Background
Michel Daher Social Foundation (MDSF) is implementing an Adolescent and Youth
Development Program (My skills, My future.) to deliver vocational Competency-Based
Training (CBT) to marginalized youth. This initiative directly targets 160 highly vulnerable
youth aged 18–24, both Lebanese and non-Lebanese, with a specific focus on those who
are out of school and unable to return to formal education. The project utilizes a
structured pathway of engagement, training, and employment transition aimed at
facilitating long-term economic inclusion.


2. Objective
Design and deliver a 125-hour training program, divided into 4 hours a day for a group of
average 20 participants in nursing assistance, combining theoretical knowledge with
hands-on practical exercises. The goal is to equip participants with skills in patient care,
basic medical procedures, hygiene, and support in healthcare settings.


3. Scope of Work
Curriculum Development

● Develop a detailed training plan and session outlines for 125 hours (theory and
practice) divided to 4 hours per Day.
● Ensure curriculum integrates practical skills, field-based demonstrations, and
market-relevant competencies.
● Include cross-cutting topics such as occupational safety, environmental
sustainability, gender sensitivity, and entrepreneurship.
Training Delivery
● Deliver interactive training sessions (classroom and demonstrations).
● Use participatory methodologies tailored to youth (role-play, group work,
problem-solving, hands-on activities).
● Supervise and mentor participants during practical exercises.
Assessment & Certification
● Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure knowledge and skill
acquisition.
● Evaluate participants through practical demonstrations, assignments, and
attendance.
● Provide inputs for certification of successful trainees.
Reporting & Coordination
● Prepare monthly progress reports on training activities.
● Document challenges, success stories, and lessons learned.
● Coordinate closely with the project team and other trainers to align with overall
program goals.

4. Deliverables
The trainer/service provider is expected to deliver the following:
● Training curriculum and session plan.
● Teaching materials (PowerPoints, handouts, field manuals, equipment).
● Attendance sheets and training records.
● Pre- and post-test results.
● Final training report with recommendations.


5. Duration of Assignment

● Total Duration: 32 sessions (around 4h each) - one group.
● Implementation Period: 32 separate days between December 2025 and March 2026
(Exact dates to be planned on a later stage)


6. Qualifications
The selected trainer or training organization must meet the following qualifications:
● Degree, diploma, or professional certification in Nursing, Healthcare Assistance,
or related field.
● At least 3–5 years of experience in nursing training, clinical support, or TVET
programs.
● Strong practical expertise in areas such as patient care, basic medical procedures,
hygiene, and healthcare safety.
● Prior experience working with youth and vulnerable groups is an asset.
● Excellent communication, facilitation, and mentoring skills.


7. Location
Ferzol, Zahle, Bekaa (Michel Daher Social Foundation building).

8. Reporting and supervision
The trainer/service provider will report and keep close coordination with the Project
Manager at MDSF. Coordination and scheduling support will be provided by MDSF staff


9. Payment Terms
● Payment will be made via bank transfer or Telegraphic Transfer (TT): 50% upon
completion of the 16-days training and the remaining 50% upon completion of
remaining sessions and submission of the final report
● Note: Without a valid MOF certificate, a 3.4% tax on goods and 8.5% on services
will apply.
● MDSF reserves the right to withhold final payment if deliverables are incomplete
or not in line with agreed quality standards


10. Documents Required
Interested individuals or organizations should submit:
- CV or organization profile with relevant experience
- Technical proposal (approach, methodology, outline of topics)
- Financial proposal (including training delivery, clinic sessions, ...)

- Legal documents (MOF, ID, Registration Certificate)
- Sample of similar previous work


11. Confidentiality statement
All information submitted in response to this RFQ is considered confidential and must
not be disclosed to third parties without written consent from MDSF.

12. How to Apply
Interested and qualified individuals are invited to submit their proposals in response to
this Terms of Reference (TOR). Proposals must include both technical and financial
offers, prepared in accordance with the requirements below.


13. Submission Instructions
All documents should be submitted by email to: procurement@daherfoundation.org
The email subject line must clearly indicate: “RFQ-MDSF25-028 for for Assistant Nurse
training– MY Skills, My Future”
Submissions must be received no later than November 4, 2025 - 12:00 pm – Beirut local
time.
Late submissions will not be accepted. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
For any clarifications regarding this RFQ, please contact the procurement team at
procurement@daherfoundation.org before October 28, 2025. No questions will be
answered after this date.


14. Evaluation of Proposals
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
1. Technical proposal (30%)
2. Financial proposal (35%)
3. Experience in Assistant nurse training (25%)
4. Availability and alignment with proposed schedule (10%)


15. Penalties for Delay
A penalty of 1% of the total contract value per day of delay shall apply for late delivery
or failure to perform within the agreed schedule, up to a maximum of 10% of the total contract value . The Foundation reserves the right to terminate the contract if the delay exceeds 10 days .
