Main Tasks:
- Provide legal counseling and assistance for women and girls at risk and survivors of GBV from the migrant, the refugee, and the host community;
- Develop a legal file;
- Ensuring legal counseling, legal lawsuits as well as different kind of investigations before the general security and other police office station for migrant workers and refugees;
- Sending monthly reports to the social worker and the program coordinator;
- Send daily/ weekly feedback and updates about cases;
- Complete the database;
- Coordinate with the team, social workers;
- Conduct visits to courts, embassies, general security…
- Based in the main office with frequent visits to the community centers;
- Ability to join immediately;
- Other related tasks as required by the management;
Knowledge and Skills:
- Registered at the beirut bar association
- Human rights experience
- Previous experience dealing with public administration, ISF, general security, court, and special tribunal for labor cases
- Bachelor’s degree in law
- 3+ years relevant admitted attorney working experience
- Experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents.
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- S/he should possess excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills in both English and Arabic
- S/he must be fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English
- Adherence to the mission and vision of MSD
- Reflect the vision and values of MSD and its partners with team members, local staff, beneficiaries, and external contacts
