The CL Team Leader has responsibility for carrying out Community Liaison and EORE tasks under the supervision of the Community Liaison Manager and Community Liaison Supervisor with the procedures taught during the CL/NTS/EORE training course and described in Mines Advisory Group Standard Operating Procedures. The CL Team Leader shall provide accurate information and reports and will be responsible for the daily management of his/ her team and its equipment. He/ She will be also responsible for assisting the CLM and CLS with the daily operational requirements.
Principal Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the implementation of all CL activities, including the management of delegated staff in his/her area of operations.
- Lead by example and motivate his/her staff ensuring that all MAG activities are conducted at the highest level of standards.
- Plan, prioritise, and coordinate CL activities, ensuring maximum community understanding and participation at all stages in close collaboration with the CLM and CLS.
- Monitor the attendance of his/ her team.
- Liaise with local authorities (Municipalities and Moukhtars…).
- Determine threat by data gathering and Community Liaison.
- Responsible for completing all CL team reports, documentation and forms as per MAG Lebanon technical SOP’s forms.
- Adhere to safety measures at all times.
- Accountable for the proper maintenance and usage of the MAG equipment entrusted, which includes GPS, Compass, Camera, and any additional materials provided to carry out during assigned duties. Report any faults immediately to the CLS and CLM.
- Utilize communication tools, GPS, compass, camera, and MAG vehicles (fuel consumption and cleanliness) in a responsible manner.
- Deliver EORE sessions to target groups at risk.
- Document the effects of MAG activities and identify future work requirements by gathering Beneficiaries/Impact Assessment forms, case studies, photographs, and conducting needs assessments.
- Treat all members of the communities interviewed with respect and dignity.
- Consistently assess the skills, attitudes, and methods employed by the CLOs and communicate their development to the CLM.
- Adhere to MAG policies and regulations while representing MAG with loyalty and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Complete the Weekly CL, EORE and NTS plan and share with CLM.
- Assume the responsibilities of the CLO position during their absence due to leave, illness, or any other absence.
- Deputies CLS as required.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the CLM/CLS.
Communication and Reporting
- Ensure that the CLM/ CLS is kept well informed on all tasks with respect to current progress, recommendations, and any difficulties encountered which may affect MAG activities.
- Check quality of all Reports and Forms before passing them to CLM/ CLS
- Develop a weekly plan for his/her team.
- Handover of survey data to the Site Supervisor in case of clearance task being issued.

- Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.
- Understand and uphold the standards outlined in MAG’s Safeguarding Framework, acting with due care and attention to safeguard the wellbeing of anyone that comes into contact with MAG’s work and reporting concerns if they do arise.
