Principal Responsibilities
- Maintain safety as a priority.
- Accept responsibility for his/her own safety and act in a disciplined way at all times at a Task site.
- Accept responsibility for the safety of others around him/her.
- Report, incidents, accidents and near misses to the Team Leader and Site Supervisor.
- Ensure that his/her tools and equipment is clean and in working order and all items are accounted for.
- Ensure reporting of faulty equipment.
- Work according to all procedures as documented in MAG SOPs and Lebanon NMAS.
- Report all daily clearance progress to the Team leader and Site supervisor.
- Work hard to achieve team efficiency.
- Prompt report of unsafe working actions and conditions immediately to the Team Leader and Site Supervisor.
- Follow instructions given by the Team Leader and Site Supervisor.
- Ensure that his/her PPE is in good condition and is regularly cleaned and checked for faults and losses.
GENERAL
- All MAG staff is expected to undertake the following general duties:
- Work towards achieving departmental business plan objectives.
- Work within the framework of MAG’s core values, promoting its ethos and mission statement.
- Work as part of a team and liaise with other departments to ensure effective communications across the organization.
- Ensure familiarity with and adhere to all MAG policies and procedures and Safeguarding Framework.
- Ensure confidentiality of information as required by MAG policies and procedures.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as may be required.
- Aware of gender mainstreaming and ready to participate in gender awareness courses/training
- Able to work in a mixed team
Requirements
- Qualified Deminer with minimum 1-year experience
- IEDD qualification is an advantage
- TL qualification is an advantage
