Psycho-Social Support Animator

BACKGROUND and JUSTIFICATION : 

MOSAIC is a holistic program committed to improve the health and wellness of Marginalized group in Lebanon and beyond. Through its national presence in Lebanon and its regional networks in the MENA region, MOSAIC strategic goal is to achieve the coexistence of people in friendly communities and national systems. Founded by activists and legal and health experts, MOSAIC will provide comprehensive services for the Marginalized groups, research and advocate for policy reform, build knowledge and capacities on SOGI (Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity/Role) issues, and engage the societies in the fight against human rights violations, especially against LGBTIQ rights violations.

SCOPE OF WORK:

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager and the overall supervision of MOSAIC’s Director, the Animator will carry out various PSS activities with different groups, identify the needs and demands of the participants and tailor the activities accordingly to optimize benefit.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The PSS Animator will be responsible of the following:

• Planning and Implementing the Psycho-social support activities
• Reporting on the activities (daily and monthly)
• Provision of, and keeping track of the refreshments and transportation fees to the participants
• Following up on the attendance sheet
• Meeting the deadlines and ensuring the timely submission of reports to the Program Manager
• Participating in any assigned training
• Being aware of the referral network (Internally and externally)
• Participate in meetings with the Manager and/or Director (internal meetings)
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Program Manager and MOSAIC Director

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health or any other related fields

2. At least 2 years of experience in facilitating and conducting activities

• Extensive knowledge in GBV/SGBV
• Extensive knowledge in LGBTIQ+ and marginalized groups issues

• Cultural Sensitivity
