Educator (French - Beirut)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementation:

Under the regular supervision of the project coordinator and the head of center, the educator will be responsible of:

• Teaching children 
• Support the Social Worker in the outreach and follow-up
• Coordination with the social worker from education program but also, with special educator, inclusion officer and Child Protection and/or Youth team for referrals.
• Follow up on children absence (phone calls after the child is absent once and household visits to prevent dropouts after the child has been absent 3 days).
• Follow up with parents and always participate in caregiver meetings (2 meetings with caregivers will be implemented during the round)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree or proven experience in teaching (Arabic, Mathematics, Sciences etc.)
• Experience working in Non Formal Education setting
• Experience working with vulnerable children
• Experience in outreach
• Reporting skills
• Coordination skills
• Experience in Child Protection (desired)
• Knowledge in English
• Computer skills (data entry)
