The Field Worker is responsible for overseeing the implementation of project activities in a specific geographic area, ensuring smooth execution through coordination with stakeholders, accurate data management, logistical support, and reporting. The role requires direct engagement with beneficiaries, community leaders, and local organizations to ensure effective service delivery.
Main Task:
Under the regular supervision of the Head of Community Center, the Field Officer will be responsible of The below:
Preparation:
Assist the Head of Center in engaging with local authorities, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to launch the project and ensure smooth implementation.
Support in securing necessary logistical arrangements for project activities. (For example: purchasing materials, contacting trainers, securing places for C4W)
Ensure that data collection and monitoring tools that are used by the field staff are well received and understood
Implementation:
Oversee and support the execution of project activities in the assigned area.
Ensure proper tracking of beneficiary attendance and participation in project activities through assigned tools (attendance sheets, bus sheets, … etc)
Conduct regular field visits to training sites, community centers, and work locations to identify any needs to be supported.
Support the head of center to ensure smooth placement of beneficiaries in Cash-for-Work/WBL programs by networking with local businesses and organizations.
Assist in resolving challenges faced by beneficiaries in project participation.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project activities.
Support the head of center and Admin in proper documentation of attendance records, training completion forms, and logistical arrangements.
Collect and organize supporting documents for project audits and reports.
Coordination:
Work closely with the Head of the Community Center to ensure smooth execution of activities.
Support coordination efforts with community stakeholders to enhance project reach and impact.
Assist the admin in ensuring compliance with project guidelines and logistical needs.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit detailed weekly and monthly reports to the Head of Center
Document challenges, successes, and recommendations for project improvements
Provide insights on field progress to aid decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualification
Education:
University degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Education, Community Development, Humanitarian Studies, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in community engagement, humanitarian aid, or field coordination.
Prior experience working with NGOs or community-based organizations is preferred.
Experience in networking with local stakeholders and coordinating field activities.
Technical competence:
Strong knowledge of field data collection and documentation practices.
Ability to conduct field assessments and provide technical support.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Experience in cash-for-work programs or livelihood support is an asset.
Behavioral competence:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
