Inclusion Field Officer (NDA)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct stakeholder analysis, to measure their capacity, power, and interest, and identify possible actions to communicating with them
  • Develop outreach and community engagement plan based on Social-Behaviour Change Communication, to reach and identify service providers
  • Implement outreach and community engagement activities, to reach and identify service providers, to empower and sensitize them on PwD rights, inclusion, protection, health, social responsibility and other
  • Conduct referral and service mapping analysis to identify existing gaps in service provision
  • Ensure the implementation of an effective referral system, using RIMS (Referrals Information Management System) to link beneficiaries of the programme with service providers or organizations, ensuring the proper follow-up and closure of cases
  • Conduct engagement and awareness sessions on COVID-19 with PwD and caregivers benefiting from the complementary services
  • Convene parent-group meetings to improve their involvement and increase their awareness about PwD rights and protection issues
  • Support extremely vulnerable individuals with extreme or severe disabilities during the redemption of the assistance
  • Support the dissemination of the communication packages and materials for beneficiaries and service providers ensuring inclusive communication and dissemination channels that are accessible to people with different disabilities
  • Conduct awareness on for families of children with disability on rights of people with disability
  • Create and maintain strong networking with specialized organization on disability; with CP and education organization and public schools

 

 

  • Proceed to identification of Persons with Disability (with family assessment and open a field for each child) and medical assessment when needed with use of specific form containing all information about the person, especially the way of identification
  • Report unsolved or challenging cases to UNICEF field officers
  • Ensures the correct reporting on each activities, and narrative reports (monthly report and quarterly report)
  • Participate in all relevant meetings and trainings proposed by MS and partners
  • Participate in CP and Education working groups
  • Provides support and guidance to the families and ensures their engagement in family engagement activities

 

Working conditions

  • The Inclusion Field Officer will operate under the supervision of PROJECT COORDINATOR, in constant cooperation with head of centers
  • The Inclusion Field Officer will be based in North, Akkar, Mount Lebanon, or Beqaa area

Performance Evaluation

Performance will be evaluated by the Project Coordinator, in consultation with the Executive Director and Human Resources Manager

• Bachelor degree in social studies, psychology
• Excellent understanding of Lebanon ecosystem (knowledge in CP is a plus)
• At least two years of relevant work experience in social inclusion and advocacy with persons with disabilities and their families
• Experience in working in a multidisciplinary environment
• Strong networking and coordination skills,
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills,
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Good analytical and report writing skills,
• Developed skills with computer applications including word and Excel in particular,
• Advanced communication skills,
• Excellent command of both written and oral Arabic and English or French
• Knowledge of interagency referral forms and other interagency useful tools
