Inclusive Education Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Capacity Building:

Provides methodological support and guidance to regular teachers on identifying special education needs and including children with disabilities in learning

Provide mentoring, methodological support and guidance to MS educators on specialized education for children with disabilities in learning (identifying special education needs, teaching techniques and teaching strategies for inclusion)

Be in charge of the training and coaching of the educators , building their capacities on inclusive education techniques

Implementation Support:

 

Monitors the progress of the learners with special education needs and discusses with teachers and parents; collects data and maintains records of progress and development

Oversees the special education needs assessment process of the learners

Conduct Individual case assessment of the children with disability and track their progress-development at educational level

Enable monitoring of the progress of the learners with special education needs and discusses with teachers and parents; collects data and maintains records of progress and development in coordination with all relevant members of MS team,

Assess students’ skills to determine their needs and to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and teaching plan in coordination with educators, social worker, head of center, and education field assistant

Makes a recommendation on the pathway for the child after completion of training or cycle

Coordination:

Participate in all relevant meetings and trainings proposed by MS and partners

Reporting:

Participate in preparing the quarterly and narrative reports
