Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Technical Advisor

Responsibilities

The position holder is responsible for:

Supporting the project(s) coordinator(s) according to MS´s management model.

Supporting the project implementation at all levels

Preparing subject matter and product relevant material (reposts, articles, presentations etc.) for internal and external use.

Supporting the monitoring of projects progress
 
 

Capacity Development Measures

The position holder

Identifies Capacity Development needs in MHPSS with the concerned staff (psychologist, facilitators, outreach) following a participatory approach

Develops Capacity Development plans together with project coordinator

Assures quality control of the capacity development measures
 
Responsibilities:

Support and technical assistance to MS data collectors and documentation/presentation of data.

Develop recommendations based on the assessment results for an MHPSS intervention that can be implemented in the time available, taking into account local capacities and population needs.

Contribute in monitoring and evaluating the staff implementation work (quality and quantity).

Provide input on final evaluation with the project coordinator when needed.
 

MHPSS assessment and assessment tools.

Monthly report to project coordinator.

Other knowledge, additional competences

fluent in English and Arabic

excellent knowledge on MHPSS actors and structures in Lebanon

good working knowledge of computer applications, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
