- Tasks and Responsibilities
The Education Supervisor will:
- Ensure that educators are properly supported with the technical knowledge and skills necessary to deliver education program interventions.
- Conduct regular visits to the field to provide technical support to program teams.
- Bolster educators’ capacity, particularly in homework support strategies
- Capacitate educators on ECE and BLN curricula, testing, management and lesson planning
- Deliver instructional strategies and materials that engage learners and facilitate the learning process.
- Lead technical planning and monitoring of educators in line with the project’s requirements.
- Follow up on lesson plans and their implementation, the admission and collection of assessments (placement and pre-post-tests), and implementation of the ECE and BLN programs.
- Check educators’ weekly reports and suggest remedy plans where necessary.
- Ensure training for educators when needed
- Outputs and Deliverables
The outputs and deliverables are the following:
- Submit reports on weekly basis on the development and implementation of the activities.
- Tools and templates that aid the educators in the implementation of lesson plans and reports.
- Required qualifications
- Advanced University Degree education or any related field in pedagogy,
- At least 3 to 5 years of technical expertise in the areas of Education;
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a master teacher, trainer and/or consultant;
- Experience in capacity building processes, tools and methodologies;
- Excellent written English and Arabic, French is an asset;
- Good interpersonal skills, influencing skills and cross-cultural sensitivity;
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Strong networking and coordination skills,
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills,
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Supervision
The Education Supervisor will work in coordination with the Project Coordinator, Head of Centers, Social workers, and MEAL team.
- Working hours
The Education Supervisor will work four days a week paying visits to Jnah, Sin ef Fil, Bourj Hammdoud and Badaro centers.
