Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the realization of project outputs through activities;
- Accompany the , inclusion specialist, officer, SBCC specialist, and inclusion field officers in implementing project activities;
- Ensure that the key stakeholders are aware of the Project activities, progress and results Support in coordination at field level in collaboration of UNICEF system programmes;
- Accompany and support field staff in their involvement in their areas and receive feedback from them on field work in progress for relevant corrective measures;
- In liaison with the field staff, assure the overall direction and integrity of the project;
- Assist in identifying and obtain any support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the project;
- Manage the Project’s activities related to complementary social inclusion measures and ensure timely and quality delivery of the outputs related to provision of support for employment, education and training, acquiring qualifications, and improved access to public services for the most vulnerable Persons with Disabilities
- Provide subject matter support on social inclusion issues, with particular attention on coordinating activities with other results
- Contribute to identification and assessment of risks related to the complementary social inclusion grants and implement responses in accordance with the Project’s Risk Management Strategy
- Provide accurate and quality inputs needed for monitoring of the Project’s performance, outputs and benefits
- Capture good practices and lessons learned, related to areas of social inclusion, particularly employment, education and access to social services
- Prepare Terms of Reference for engagement of consultants/companies needed for the complementary social inclusion related activities, monitor and evaluate their performance
- Assist the project administration;
- With support from the Support Services and Procurement manager, ensure respect of UNICEF grant methodology and procurement procedures where applicable
- Develop different reports used to inform donor and the key stakeholders of the Project interventions related to the complementary social inclusion activities
- Organize efficient monitoring of projects and grants supported through the complementary social inclusion activities including monitoring of financial resources to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reports
- In cooperation with the Finance Manager, ensure efficient and effective management of the budget and that all complementary social inclusion related expenditures comply with UNICEF Financial Rules and Regulations
- Contribute to the Project’s communication and visibility activities
- Contribute to development, update and implementation of the Project’s plans and ensure delivery in accordance with approved Work, Procurement and Financial Plans for the complementary social inclusion related grants and/or activities
- Fulfill any other duties as decided by the TBD in the implementation of the project
Working conditions
- The Project Coordinator will operate under the supervision of TBD, in constant cooperation with Business Development Manager, and MEAL Manager
- The Project Coordinator will be based in Beirut-Badaro Office, with frequent visits to the field

• At least two years of relevant work experience in social inclusion and advocacy with persons with disabilities and their families
• Minimum two years of relevant work in management of social inclusion projects is required Experience in work with Local Self-Governments in Serbia on development/managing social inclusion projects is an asset Experience with international organizations is highly desirable
• Experience in working in a multidisciplinary environment
• Advanced University Degree preferably in Social or Political Science, Law or relevant field is required
• Excellent understanding of Lebanon ecosystem (knowledge in CP is a plus)
• Strong networking and coordination skills,
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills,
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Good analytical and report writing skills,
• Developed skills with computer applications including word and Excel in particular,
• Advanced communication skills,
• Excellent command of both written and oral Arabic and English or French
• Knowledge of interagency referral forms and other interagency useful tools
