Job description:
Conduct recreational and PSS activities to children, adults and/or caregivers, in line with the Program standards and national guidelines and indicators,
Conduct sensitization /Awareness sessions and events for children, adults and caregivers in a participatory and empowering manner, in line with Program standards and indicators
Ensure that safe identification and referrals for at risk cases are conducted as per the program strategy and national guidelines with respect to confidentiality and informed consent
Organize camps / community events and conduct the recreational activities for children youth and adults.
Ensure children participating in various activities are cared for and provided a protective environment for them
Ensure the attendance of the children is taken daily and that the proper data collection procedures are followed and all relevant forms and formats used and handed over to the designated person
Ensure the proper use of all material and venue
Participate in a weekly meeting with the Senior Educator/Animator/Facilitator for an overall monitoring of the work plan
Participate in a monthly coordination meeting with the Protection Manager
Take an active role in all relevant Working Group designed by national or international partners and ensure the dissemination of relevant MoM
Participate in all capacity-building trainings internally and externally and ensure that proper feedback is provided
Requested Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in social work, Social Animation, Psychology, or any other equivalent university qualifications.
At least 2 years of experience
Good knowledge of Lebanese Institutions and policies, especially of the Ministry of Social Affairs
Good knowledge of interactive animation techniques
Good knowledge of CP, GBV and PSS basic principles
Good knowledge of Case Management procedures is a plus
Good knowledge of the Lebanese context and of the relationship between host and refugee communities
Good knowledge of national and international NGO’s, as well as PSS working groups, task forces and other relevant committees
Capable of dealing with children and adults who have experienced war distress
Good Knowledge on Child Protection and Psychosocial Support Programs and curriculums
Good knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools, as well as data management
Good writing and reporting skills
Fluent in both English and Arabic (speaking and writing).
