Social Worker - Saida

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementation:

Under the regular supervision of the Head of Center and the project coordinator, the social worker will be responsible of:

• Identification of potential beneficiaries to the project as per the criteria set and outreaching them through home stations and reception of families in the center;
• Mapping of available services in the area of coverage and networking with local NGOs;
• Referral of children to relevant services available at Mouvement Social centers and around (e.g. health services, other PSS services, etc.);
• Coordination within the team and with other MS project team members (CP and Youth);
• SW is also the inclusion focal point (coordination with Inclusion officer and Special Educator, referrals to specialized services and follow up at child and family level);
• Introduction of Mouvement Social services to parents/caregivers and other members of the community;
• Followingup on the daily attendance, jointly with educators (phone calls after the child is absent once and household visits to prevent dropouts after the child has been absent 3 days).;
• Taking in charge the activity info reporting (indicators, nominative list, follow up), quarterly reporting, and Child Level Monitoring tool reporting;
• Attending education sector monthly meetings.

Documentation:

• Registering the child within Mouvement Social’s programme upon obtaining the informed consent by parents/caregivers and from the child himself/herself

Reporting:

Taking in charge the activity info reporting (indicators, nominative list, follow up), quarterly reporting, and Child Level Monitoring tool reporting.

Supervision:

• Attending education sector monthly meetings.
• Attending trainings and capacity building opportunities

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in social work
• Proven experience in social work (outreach, follow up, referrals)
• Experience in education or child protection programs
• Experience working with most vulnerable children
• Excellent reporting skills (quantitative and qualitative)
• Analytical skills
• Solution orientated
• Coordination and supervision of team skills
• Knowledge of English
• Computer skills (data entry and M&E Tools)
