Youth Program Coordinator

Purpose of the job

Under the guidance of the Executive Director, the Youth Program Coordinator manages the coordination and management of all aspects of the program, including the planning, organization, leadership and monitoring of project activities.

Duties and responsibilities

Planning tasks

  • Planning and delivering the comprehensive project and its activities in accordance with the mission and objectives of the organization;
  • Contributing to the development of new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization;
  • Preparing an annual budget, with the Finance Manager, and an operating plan to support the program;
  • Follow-up and development, with the M&E team to evaluate, identify strengths and areas of improvement for the program;
  • Develop project funding proposals to ensure continued service delivery.

Organization's functions

  • Ensuring that project activities operate within MS policies and procedures;
  • Ensuring that project activities comply with all relevant professional legislation and standards;
  • Developing forms and templates to document project activities;
  • Supervising the collection and maintenance of program data for statistical purposes in accordance with the organization's privacy/confidentiality policy.

Basic tasks

  • Ensuring that all staff receive appropriate guidance and training in accordance with regulatory standards and project requirements;
  • Training project staff by providing guidance, interventions and interaction on the needed activities;
  • Coordinating with other coordinators to ensure that projects are implemented efficiently and effectively.

Monitoring and evaluation functions

  • Reporting to the Executive Director and donors the progress of the work;
  • Communicating with donors the results outlined in the funding agreements;
  • Identifying and assessing risks associated with project activities while taking appropriate risk control measures, in collaboration with the line managers;
  • Monitoring project activities on a regular basis and conducting an annual assessment in accordance with the project evaluation framework;
  • Reporting the results of the evaluation to the Executive Director and recommend changes to promote the project, as appropriate.

- Strong coordination skills, especially in NGO,
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities,
- Good analytical and report writing skills,
- Developed skills with computer applications including word and Excel in particular,
- Excellent command for 3 languages written and oral :Arabic, FRENCH and English
