Finance & Compliance Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Finance and Compliance Officer is responsible for organization-wide financial operations including internal and external financial reporting, budget preparation, and payroll. Also, the Officer needs to coordinate and audit beneficiaries to ensure compliant financial operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and update nafda policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and nafda’s core values
  • Develop and update grant disbursement policies for nafda directed towards school transformation 
  • Develop supporting documents & templates for the company disbursement of grants across the school journey (e.g. documentation, financial reporting, etc.)
  • Accounting bookings, filing, and reporting with the support of an Admin
  • Prepare, manage and update financial reports sustatementscome Statement, Cashflows, Trial Balance, etc.
  • Manage NAFDA’s cash flow
  • Handle cash payments to vendors and partners
  • Manage NAFDA’ petty cash
  • Liaise with legal to support on the advancement of charity registration
  • Liaise with legal to support  MOU development with schools and coalition members
  • Participate in evaluating school improvement programs’ progress and status in accordance with  nafda education 2025 goals

DUTIES 

The Consultant must observe and meet the following commitments:

  • Complete all missions and obligations related to his mission without limitation of the said missions and obligations;
  • Achieve the objectives and targets assigned;
  • Comply with laws and regulations applicable;
  • Comply with all the obligations provided in this consultant Agreement.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Education: BS in Business Administration or other related discipline. Masters in Finance level training preferred.

Experience: At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a similar NGO setting
