:Nation Station’s Digital Literacy & AI Academy offers an intensive 3-month Hardware Program. This program, designed for learners aged 18-35, covers a comprehensive range of topics from PC fundamentals and troubleshooting to IoT and automation. Classes are held in a fully-equipped modular lab at our Center in Rmeil, Achrafieh, Beirut. The 12-week course sequence includes:
Computer components & how computers work
Wired/wireless connections & basic networking
Sensors, controllers, and simple device chains
Safe PC disassembly / re-assembly
Hardware troubleshooting & repair
Home/SME networking & security basics
Sensor–based monitoring for business use cases
Practical “device chains” for farms, markets, taxis, etc.
Intro to automation & IoT (mini-projects)
Integrating AI with hardware (voice assistants, smart cameras)
CCTV & remote-view security setups
Capstone project & emerging hardware/AI trends
Our lab is outfitted with Lenovo IdeaPad laptops, projectors/LCD screens, sensors, microcontrollers, high-speed Wi-Fi, and maker-space tools to support hands-on learning.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Hardware Trainer to facilitate the full 12-week curriculum, guide capstone projects, and mentor learners toward employability in hardware support, IoT deployment, and related fields.
Location: Nation Station - AI and Digital Literacy Academy
Contract: Full-time, 4 months (renewable subject to funding)
Start Date: July 2025
Reports to: Digital Literacy Program Manager
Key Responsibilities

Duties
Instruction
Deliver weekly sessions using Academy lesson plans; adapt activities for diverse learning styles; maintain an inclusive classroom culture.
Lab Management
Set up/pack down equipment, ensure inventory (laptops, sensors, Arduino/RPi kits) is functional, troubleshoot on the fly.
Learner Support
Provide office hours, track attendance, administer pre/post assessments, and give formative feedback.
Project Mentorship
Guide teams through design, build, and demo of capstone “device-chain” projects aligned with real community needs.
Coordination & Reporting
Work with the team to capture learning outcomes, submit weekly progress notes, and collaborate on curriculum refinement.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
3+ years hands-on experience teaching or training in PC hardware, electronics, or IoT environments.
Proven skills in:
PC assembly/disassembly & repair,
Network setup (LAN/Wi-Fi, routers, switches),
Microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and sensor integration,
Basic AI/edge-device deployments (e.g., smart cameras, voice assistants).
Fluent in Arabic and English (instruction & documentation).
Passion for learner-centred, gender- and disability-inclusive pedagogy.
Desirable Requirements
CompTIA A+, Cisco IT Essentials, or similar certification.
Experience working with vulnerable youth or community-based programs in Lebanon.
Familiarity with CCTV installation and basic cybersecurity best practices.
