Position Overview
The National Institute of Social Care and Vocational Training (NISCVT) is seeking enthusiastic and skilled part-time Technology Trainers to deliver courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Coding, Robotics and other technologies for Youth and Adolescents aged between 14–24, including school students, university students, and dropout youth.
A pool of instructors will be created at three Palestinian Camps:
- NISCVT Ein El-Hilweh Center
- NISCVT Burj El-Chemali Center
- NISCVT Beddawi Center
This role is ideal for educators passionate about empowering young people with 21st-century STEM skills through engaging, hands-on interactive learning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver interactive training sessions in emerging technologies covering core concepts in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, programming and other technology topics with practical/hands-on exposure to relevant tools and platforms.
2. Adjust and develop training circular as needed to ensure relevance, alignment with emerging trends and responsiveness to participants learning needs.2. Adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners including school students, university students, and dropout youth.
3. Facilitate practical learning through robotics labs, coding projects, and applied AI exercises that connect concepts to real-world contexts.
4. Mentor students, encourage innovation, and support participation in robotics competitions or AI projects.
5. Design activities that develop critical thinking, teamwork, and employability skills.
6. Prepare and submit short progress reports for each project cycle.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Equivalent professional experience in emerging technologies training and practice might be considered.
Teaching/mentorship certifications are an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of two years of teaching or training experience in technology related fields
Prior experience working with youth including school students, university students and/or out-of-school youth.
Skills:
1. Strong communication, facilitation and classroom management skills.
2. Ability to simplify complex concepts for beginners while keeping advanced learners engaged.
3. Demonstrate passion for youth development, STEM, and innovative learning approaches.
Contract Type: Part-time, Per Technology Course
Compensation: $10 USD per hour
Locations: Ein El Helweh Camp, Burj El-Shemali Camp and Beddawi Camp
Schedule: Flexible, depending on project timelines and training schedules.
