The National Institution of Social Care and Vocational Training (NISCVT), known as Beit Atfal Assumoud, is a humanitarian, non-sectarian and non-governmental organization, and it is not related to any political or religious groups, working within the Palestinian refugee community in Lebanon. NISCVT 's multi-services contribute to the development of the Palestinian community in Lebanon. By addressing the needs of the family with gender-balanced projects, NISCVT aims at empowering the individual, supporting the community resiliency, and preserving the national identity. NISCVT programs reach out Palestinian refugees in camps and gatherings around Lebanon through 13 centers. Ten of these centers are located inside the refugee camps while two are outside the camps, in the surrounding areas. Targeting male and female children, youth,

adults and elderlies, NISCVT programs include sponsorship, education and health, cultural and recreational activities, in addition to professional mental and social intervention. NISCVT also reaches local underserved Lebanese communities living in and around the camps.

Position Title: MAKANI Youth Trainer

Location: Shatila camp

Duration: Until the End of December 2024 (Extendable)

Type of Contract: Full-Time

Salary: 500 USD.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct outreach activities to engage youths and adolescents within the community.

2. Deliver the MAKANI package workshops designed for Youth and Adolescents following a present

curriculum. The workshops include Life Skills, Entrepreneurship, Digital Literacy, Financial Literacy,

Career Guidance, and Job Readiness.

3. Foster a supportive learning environment conducive to personal and professional development.

4. Support the establishment of partnerships with relevant stakeholders including local organizations,

and educational institutions.

5. Support the referrals mechanism inside the MAKANI centers.

6. Maintain accurate records of workshop attendance, participant feedback, and other relevant data.

7. Prepare regular reports on program activities, achievements, and challenges.

8. Implement the Monitoring Tools as required by the Youth Program Coordinator and Center

Supervisor.

9. Attend capacity building workshops.

10. Represent Beit Atfal Assumoud in related meetings and events.

11. Ensure compliance with Beit Atfal Assumoud relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.

12. Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management team.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Education, Social Sciences, Business

Administration, MIS or a relevant field.

- Two years of experience in delivering training and workshops to youth and adolescents.

- Knowledge of the Palestinian refugee context in Lebanon.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse

audiences.

- Demonstrated commitment to youth empowerment and community development.

- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
