National Institution for Social Care and Vocational Training NISCVT has a zero tolerance policy with regard to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse. Optional: National Institution for Social Care and Vocational Training (NISCVT Beit Atfal Assumoud) is a humanitarian NGO working with the Palestinian communities in Lebanon since 1976 in development and emergency response. NISCVT’s mission is to contribute to the development of the Palestinian community in Lebanon through various projects and services addressing the needs of the whole family focusing on education, community, economic development and VTCs, health and relief including psychosocial support.
Optional Background
NISCVT runs a community based psychosocial support program within the frame of Makani multiservice centers in number of Palestinian camps in partnership with UNICEF. Withing this framework, NISCVT is seeking to recruit a PSS program coordinator.
2. Objective of the position:
The purpose of the post is to assist in and support NISCVT’s staff within PSS program, to ensure timely and effective delivery of the project services in line with [NISCVT] and donor’s standards and guidelines, and monitoring program’s Key Performance Indicators, ensuring reporting against project indicators, and assist in identifying capacity building needs and coordinate staff capacity building activities conducted by [NISCVT] and donor in the frame of the “[Project]” referred hereafter as the PSS program.
3. Key tasks and responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator will work under the supervision of [NISCVT center] Director, to whom he/she will report.
Be available to participate in meetings and training in and outside the [NISCVT] centers and/or in donor office when requested.
Supervision and M&E
Conduct regular onsite visits to [NISCVT] program centers
Regularly communicate with and support all implementing staff and volunteers in centers.
Conduct regular team meetings to review performance against expected deliverables, offer recommendations and brainstorm durable solutions for challenging situations.
Coordinate/oversee the implementation of the project.
Liaise with other service programs coordinators in the center and facilitate scheduling activities in common spaces to be used by staff, to mitigate any conflicting schedules
Actively participate in weekly meetings with coordinators and other team members involved in project implementation to discuss challenges faced, achievements, difficulties and lessons learned
Safeguarding
Ensure integration of safeguarding and do no harm standards in service implementation.
Ensure that good quality standards are met in project implementation
Ensure conducting focus group discussions with beneficiaries as part of Accountability to Affected Population AAP, and Beneficiary Feedback Mechanism BFM as well as support in dissemination and information on NISCVT Code of Conduct and PSEA Policy
Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others
Capacity building
Ensure that all new staff recruited receive induction training including safeguarding/PSEA/CoC
Coordinate staff capacity building delivered by [NISCVT] and other stakeholders. Regularly collect feedback from staff trainees regarding the training activities outcomes
Acquainting with various PSS modules used by staff authorized by NISCVT and donors, and attend relevant training when possible
Monitor center based awareness and PSS sessions and ensure they are in line with the approved content. Monitor community based content activities
Support [NISCVT] HR as required in appraisals, staff files and other relevant tasks.
Ensure respecting donors requirements and the [NISCVT] internal policies and procedures. dress code, attendance, staff regulations and policies, etc.
Documentation and reporting
Assist in harmonization of program documentation and forms used as per [NISCVT] and donor requirements
Ensures timely development of monthly and weekly center workplans
Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly data/or/as per donor requirements.
Ensure timely execution of program activities according to plans and program indicators.
Ensure timely delivery of expected program outputs and outcomes.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of narrative project reports as per donor requirements.
Other
Support other tasks within [NISCVT] emergency response program as needed.
Maintain regular contact with community focal points. Facilitate communication, coordination, and networking among project centers with other stakeholders
Frequent travel to PSS program locations
Qualification & Job Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Psychology, or sociology, or social work or other degree backed by with strong work experience in PSS programs.
Experience in project coordination/project management roles, preferably in MHPSS programs
Minimum of two years of experience in the domain of NGOs or relevant work experience in mental Health and Psychosocial Support programs, experience in Child Protection programs, and any other continuing professional development is an advantage.
Candidates must have the appropriate skills and training using proven quality and safety methods which underpins the delivery of a mental health and child protection service
Demonstrable experience of work and/or support to local NGOs, preferably in the Palestinian camps in Lebanon.
Applicants living in, or adjacent to camps and gatherings will be prioritized

Prior work experience in program Locations (Palestinian camps) is required
Experience of partnership work with INGOs/UN agencies is an asset
Previous experience of emergency response projects is an asset
Excellent communication and networking skills

Team oriented, with ability to work efficiently with and managing group dynamics.
Flexible and responsive to program challenges, with willingness to take on additional tasks as needed.
Proficiency in English (with strong report writing skills in English); fluency in Arabic is a must
Proficient in Ms Office - word processing, spread sheets, etc.
Driving license/ability to drive in Lebanon is desirable
