The National Institution of Social Care and Vocational Training (NISCVT) (Beit Atfal Assumoud) is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our Family Guidance Center in Beddawi and Naher Bared, Northern Lebanon

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary teams in Beddawi and Naher Bared, Northern Lebanon. The psychiatrists will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing the mental health of children, adolescents, and caregivers, including prescribing medication and providing treatment recommendations in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in each center which include psychotherapists, speech-language therapists, psychomotor therapists, occupational therapists, a music therapist, special educators, and social workers.

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Diagnose and manage mental health conditions.
• Prescribe and monitor medications as needed.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for holistic care.
• Provide guidance and support to the multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct weekly visit to each family guidance centre.
• Remain available remotely (on-call) to provide timely psychiatric input for acute or complex cases.
• Attend a monthly coordination meeting (onsite or remote) with the multidisciplinary team and the Mental Health Project Coordinator.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree with specialization in Psychiatry.
• Valid license to practice as a psychiatrist in Lebanon.
• Experience in child and adolescent mental health preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and culturally diverse environment.
